Free for Friday {one.word.Bible.study}

Well, it’s here.  The day when the banqueting tables are set, the meal has been prepared {long ago}, and the Lord of Hosts has issued the invitations.

Come to the Table. Eat of His Bread. Drink of His Wine.

Sit and be filled.  The days of unfed, malnourished, and weak faith has passed.

The Bread of Life has been served.

One Word-7

Last week I introduced this FREE meal – the one.word.Bible.study.  It’s not my own.  Louie Giglio started it all {in his book: I Am Not But I Know I Am: Welcome to the Story of God}.  We just added a bow and decorations.

Quite simply, the one.word.Bible.study looks intently at One Word {just one word!  You have time for that – yes?} over an unusually long period of time. One.entire.day.

Scripture encourages us to, “let the Word of Christ dwell…richly.” (Col 3:16). But too often we speed read, dangle our pen mid-air, and CHECK!  The Book is put away before the abundant well of Living Water even misted our hurried head.

But this need not be the case.  If all we have time for is One Word a day, then can’t we at least let this One Word dwell richly in us today?  This IS the day the Lord has made.  Might He not have something to say in it?

So this week, we continue our BE Attitude series with another look at:

BE transformed {by His Word}

And I offer you the first Crossing Jordan sponsored one.word.Bible.study on a verse from the Psalms:

Be still and know that I am God. – Psalm 46:10
